What I mean is just what this chapter is called. I want you to remove the word “Balance” from your vernacular. I want you to stop trying so hard to “Balance” your life. I want you to live it. Now, I know this may seem odd to you but stick with me and you’ll soon get the point. For so many years I sought “Balance” in my life. I was focused on balancing the Physical, Spiritual, Financial and Emotional that I even created a training program around it called “The Success Cube”. Well, it was all well and good in theory but when practically applied it was next to impossible to achieve even though I focused like a laser on it.

Become Effective:
Most people that I have worked with over the years are confused when it comes to effectiveness. I used to fall into that category myself. It amazes me when I look back at how much time I wasted while thinking that I was being effective. People tend to focus on efficiency and forget about being effective.

Become Relevant:
Becoming relevant is a key element of success. Anyone that lives at the highest level of life understands this well and focuses on making sure that they are always relevant. If your work requires that you sell something you will only be relevant if you actually sell something. If you talk about selling something every night while sitting at the dinner table and prognosticate about selling something to your colleagues every day but never actually go out and sell something, you are irrelevant even if you have a PhD in sales.

Lifestyle…
I am writing about as broad a subject as Lifestyle because I believe that achievement and Lifestyle can be linked but are not linked by default. In fact they have very little to do with one another unless and until someone decides to link them. For example, a person working in a 9-5 job as a financial professional may be a high achiever at work receiving all of the accolades that any high achiever would deserve. A high quality Lifestyle is not necessarily one of them if the professional is chained to the desk and cannot afford to take time to live life beyond the office.
