Entertainment Dumb Down or What Matters Most

Ok, so I am at the gym today sitting in the sauna after a great workout.  In walk two women chatting about their long bike ride.  It really was amazing that they rode 45 miles together yesterday after doing a couple of hour workout and so forth.  There is a guy sitting in the sauna that knows these two gals.  He says to them that he wants to get a bike to ride and a bike riding conversation ensues.  After the ladies leave the sauna, the guy "Anthony" and I start to chat.  He says that he really needs to go buy a bike and start riding.  Then he says, "Nah" not until after the "Final Four".  He continues, "Got to have those priorities in line you know"...

Why Immersion Rules

Most of the time the beginning of a new endeavor requires one to develop a new set of skills.  This happens when graduating from high school to the University, from the University to a profession and so forth.  Many people around the world are moving laterally in the job market right now out of necessity due to the recessionary economy we find ourselves in.  There is a choice when it comes to developing new skill sets.  One can either learn a little at a time as time goes on, which usually takes a long time, or one can become immersed into a massive learning process upfront, which usually compresses the amount of time it takes to learn new skills.

Get Rid Of Balance

What I mean is just what this chapter is called.  I want you to remove the word “Balance” from your vernacular.   I want you to stop trying so hard to “Balance” your life.  I want you to live it.  Now, I know this may seem odd to you but stick with me and you’ll soon get the point.  For so many years I sought “Balance” in my life.  I was focused on balancing the Physical, Spiritual, Financial and Emotional that I even created a training program around it called “The Success Cube”.  Well, it was all well and good in theory but when practically applied it was next to impossible to achieve even though I focused like a laser on it.
